I am running out of time here... got a LOT to do today and before the weekend holiday, and I feel pretty rushed!

Talked to a friend on the east coast... despite evacuations of NC outer banks, they are enjoying bueatiful sunny weather with a temperature of 93, only 10% humidity and not a cloud in the sky. I told them to wait til Jim Cantore gets there!

Thanks to Sunny Sethi who stopped by this morning to talk about A Taste of India, happening on the 18th of this month at the Ag Museum. You can by tickets for $25 online using Paypal before the event, or $30 at the door. Just go to
www.IAMinfo.org and get them there. (I LOVE Indian cuisine, and he was kind enough to drop off some chicken and sauce from Pan Asia while he was here. I'm thinking about finding a date and going, myself!)

Headed out to Michaels in Flowood with some Krispy Kreme for the Mug and Munch... Stacy's coming in on her maternity leave for the sweet treats. Who wouldn't, I ask you?

Be back to celebrate Friday in the morning! K bye!!

New month... lots to do... but I gotta say it was hard getting up this morning. Think it was the mid-week sleepies. And I actually went to bed on TIME last night. Very rare.

Also gotta say that the building smells WONDERFUL today, thanks to Greenbrook Flowers! The troops all returned from Good Neighbor Day, each carrying a dozen of every color rose you can think of, and it smells like a real florist shop in here now! Also heard that the 30,000 roses are ALL GONE already! I really hope everyone enjoys them, and I hope the Batson folks got a lot of donations for the Children's Hospital this morning as well!

Ok, I'm gonna finish my yogurt and the website/facebook updates before I head home to work on tomorrow's show and catch last night's episodes of White Collar and Covert Affairs on DVR! Also keeping the text lines open to friends I have on the east coast (Kristi in DC, Angela in Centreville VA and of course Proxy Child on the VA coast)... keeping an eye on Earl!

Everyone have a good Wednesday! Be back bright and early! K bye!!

The end of the month! Holy crap! And the last two days have really been something... getting ready for Labor Day weekend... getting ready for another Girls Night Out (Spill the Beans with St. Dominics)... some new web stuff coming into play really soon... people coming in and out of the studio... it's been BUSY. Haven't made it to the pool in well over a week, hoping to get there before the week is out!

And I know I'm not the only one scrambling and hanging on by their day planner... I catch the Facebook and Twitter posts and see that everyone else is running around in circles, too! Good thing most of us aren't scared of rollercoaster rides because it sure feels like that's what we're on!

Tomorrow morning will be fun, John will be out at the 16th Annual Good Neighbor Day with Greenbrook Flowers on State Street and the folks from Blair E Batson. Plus, it's the first day of September - there's your hint for tomorrow morning's Mystery Oldie, heh heh heh!

I'm going to try and get some more stuff done here and head home for some veg time with the critters and a little Rizzoli and Isles catch up! Be back in the morning! K bye!

The end of the summer is almost here, and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say "YAAAAAY!" My a/c needs a BREAK! This was definitely a productive weekend on many fronts... my brother helped me fix some stuff around the house... got caught up on regular housework and the massive list of summer finales on the DVR... the Braves struggled valiantly to pull out a win against the Mudcats (they finally won one last night... last home game of the season is this evening)...

It's a pretty busy week here at work. We got ShoesDay TuesDay tomorrow, the 16th Annual Good Neighbor Day on Wednesday at Greenbrook Flowers, and LABOR DAY WEEKEND!! Lots of people trying to get everything done in the next few days so they can take their last major holiday weekend before Thanksgiving with some easy breathing. Good luck with that, by the way!

I'm headed out to Disability Rights Mississippi with some ice cream and McAlisters cookies... Sue Cannimore was the winner of the Office Cool Down this week! Going to keep it going through the rest of September, so get those entries faxed in to 978-3980!!

Be back in the morning! K bye!

August 27th, 2010

Yes, people, you made it to another weekend! YAY! Another few hours and it will be the sigh of relief shared by an entire time zone!

I've got lots going on this weekend... my brother is coming over to play handyman and help me with some home repairs (rotting front overhang, broken tree branches, lawn edging, and there is apparently a leak still somewhere in the house that needs to be ferreted out)... Plus I will be hanging out with the MS Braves tomorrow night for Pack the Park against the Mudcats!

Next week is the week before the last MAJOR holiday of the summer - Labor Day!!! - and we are gearing up for a One Hit Wonder Weekend, I will be talking to actor Scott Grimes on the phone at some poitn, we'll be drawing for more FREE  shoes from the Watermelon Patch, and all sorts of fun stuff!

So get some rest - or at least wear yourself out having FUN! K bye!!
