Behind the scenes wiz and Sunday mornings from 6 am to 9 am - a Mississippi Native

I am a new Mom to Baby Jack. Baby Jack is the happiest baby; he is a light of my life. Being a mom changes everything. It’s the little things that make the best memories. He certainly is trying to follow in my footsteps and he loves radio already. (It also helps that he’s here with me most of time, I’m so lucky my job lets me bring him)  My husband Brad has been a shining beacon and solid rock in my life when thing spin out of control. We’ve been married since 2010.

We recently just undertook the task of becoming homeowners. We love living in Pearl now, such a great place to be.  I am an all around Nerd and not your typical girly girl. When “shopping” I’d rather hit the bookstores, game stores, and electronic stores rather than clothing stores.

I am an avid Star Wars fan and can put some fanboys to shame on trivia. I am a Member of the Cosplay/Fan Club the Mississippi Mandalorians, which is a Star Wars based (but not limited to) SciFi fan club. I actually met my husband Brad at one of these events.

I also am a Member of the historical group the Society of Creative Anachronism. If it happened in the Middle Ages/ Victorian Era, we do it. Locally our Chapter is the Shire of the Iron Ox, and we hold weekly practice  at the Park on Lakeland by Smith Wills Stadium.

Radio has been what I wanted to do since I was a little girl, and I have been with the Radio People since I was a rookie out of Mississippi College, Class of 2006. Thanks for listening to me as you start your Sundays -  I love being a part of your weekend routine.

In closing, I pose this question:
If the universe collided and Batman and Darth Vader were thrown in the ThunderDome, who would win? Twitter me your answers, @djwriterkp
