When it comes to sin in America, Mississippi is right in the middle of those Seven Deadly Sins rankings. Some number crunchers at WalletHub looked at a bunch of government statistics to rank the most — and least — sinful states in America. They scored each state based on the Seven Deadly Sins — pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth.
Not surprisingly, Nevada — home of “Sin City” — is ranked number one. Here are the top 5:
The people of Vermont have been very, very good and are supposedly the least sinful.
Mississippi…came in right in the middle at Number 25. You can see below that we rank low in vanity and excessive drinking. But Mississippi’s ranking high when it comes to lust, laziness and avarice.
