Each morning on The Morning Mix, I love sharing stories about people I call The Good Folks. Those who see a need, and meet it. We’ve heard from Mix listeners who met a stranger who paid to replace a flat tire, a boss who donated Christmas gifts for a family in need and Madison’s , Anna Mattox, who launched a Blessing Box at the Madison Police Department.
Choosing to be kind inspires others to follow suit. I just learned that Blessing Box Flowood was inspired by Anna Mattox. Mother-daughter duo, Stacey and Breelynn Bennett, started the donation box in July at the G. Chastaine Flynt Memorial Library in Flowood. And folks from Pearl and Brandon have reached out to the Bennetts to express a desire to start a blessing box in their community.
You can learn more about the Flowood Blessing Box here. And if you have a story of someone who is one of The Good Folks, taking the time to be kind and do a good deed in the community, send me an email so I can spread the word about good things happening around the Metro!
Friends! God is working BIG time in this!!! The messages we have received tonight have been nothing short of a miracle! Thanking him tonight and every day for His endless love! Let’s get these boxes set up across the state and let’s be the change!!! We want to continue to thank everyone who has helped keep the box filled, shared our post, etc. #boxthestate #love #servants #givethecredittoHim
