I am a native Mississippian who grew up listening to the radio. It was one of my dreams to come true to be blessed to work in this industry. I am a busy bee, always running around doing something or other. In addition to working for Mix, I also work for Family Termite and Environmental Services. On top of all that, I am a writer, in the process of publishing my first novel (out soon hopefully).
I am also heavily involved in the Sci-Fi appreciation group the Mississippi Mandalorians (http://www.mandaloriansmsd.com) and am also and active member in the historical society called the Society of Creative Anachronism. Our local group is called the Shire of the Iron Ox. (www.ironox.org) Summing it up, if it calls for a costume I'm there with bells on!
The glue that keeps my sane is my wonderful husband Brad. We also have a feline son, Shadow. Without Brad I would surely lose it. And my small family will grow in September when Brad and I will welcome our first child.
With what little free time I have, I can be found hanging out at either of my two favorite places: Java Ink in Pearl, and Heroes and Dreams in Flowood.
To talk to me just following me on Twitter (@djwriterkp) or find me on facebook.com/djwriter. Be sure to listen in from 6-9a on Sundays!
May the Force be with y'all :)
Katy
